Peanut Butter and Banana Pupcakes

Yoda’s Third Birthday and Mini Peanut Butter and Banana Pupcakes!

We had the cutest birthday crown for Yoda, but he wasn’t loving it. He was cool with his birthday bowtie though.

Don’t press the “Jump to Recipe” button! Just kidding, you totally can. I know you are probably just as excited about Yoda’s birthday Peanut Butter Banana Mini Pupcakes as he was to eat them! I even tried one for myself, and I have to admit, they were pretty good.

I always try to keep my recipe entries short and sweet so that everyone can enjoy what they came here for – Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes! I just need one moment to let you know how important Yoda is to our family…

Yoda came to us shortly after we lost Subee unexpectedly. He was the last puppy from his litter, and the breeder had almost cycled through another litter before we went to meet Yoda. He sustained an eye injury as a puppy and was a little pigeon chested. Those things didn’t bother us at all, and we fell in love with him immediately. He climbed right onto my husband’s chest and gave him a quick kiss. There was no way we could leave this sweet little guy behind.

Yoda definitely helped to keep my mind occupied after the loss of Subee! Subee was eight years old when we lost her, so it had been quite some time since we had a puppy in our home. This little boy was like a mini vacuum cleaner, haha! His little nose was always to the ground, and he would try to suck up everything in sight. I was constantly following him around so he could show me all of the places I missed when I was cleaning – he was always on the hunt for dust bunnies. He was so cute, and he taught me something new every day with his curious mind.

We learned quickly how different dog breeds truly are! This little French Bulldog’s personality was so incredibly different from our Pitbulls, so we had a lot to learn. Three years have gone by so fast, and I truly can’t put into words how much he continues to enrich our lives. He loves to travel, loves making new friends everywhere he goes, he’s bossy but obedient at the same time. Everyone who sees him loves him. I love taking him on walks because 100% of the time, people stop to ask us about him. I see so many people giggle or smile when they walk by – I love that he inspires happiness in strangers. My husband often says he has one son and three dogs – Yoda can only be classified as our son rather than our dog. L O L. I hope on your pup’s birthdays that you can take the time and reminisce on your time together and how much happiness has followed.

Ok, now I will get to the recipe. This might be my favorite recipe that I’ve created so far. It’s so easy, and the pupcakes turned out perfectly! You don’t even need a blender or food processor for this recipe. The only kitchen gadgets you need are a mixing bowl, fork, spoon, and silicone baking mold. This is a liquidy recipe so you’ll definitely want some sort of silicone mold. I used the paw print mold you see below from Amazon.

You can check out this silicone dog treat baking mold on Amazon.
I got a little fancy and added some extra thin banana slices with peanut butter drizzle. Is there any other way to serve Peanut Butter Banana Pupcakes?!

Ingredients

  1. One large ripened banana. (Slice an extra banana if you would like to serve a few slices with the pupcakes.)
  2. 1/2 Cup of Almond Flour ( I love the Blue Diamond Almond Flour)
  3. 3 tablespoons of Peanut Butter (No Xylitol, this can be toxic to dogs. Use single-ingredient peanut butter if possible. I love Crazy Richard’s Peanut Butter)

A simple pupcake recipe with only three ingredients.

Ingredients

  • One Large Ripened Banana

  • 1/2 Cup of Almond Flour

  • 3 TBSP of Peanut Butter (No Xylitol – this is toxic to dogs)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Slice and mash banana with a fork very well. Leave very few chunks of banana. You should be left with a liquid banana mixture.
  • Measure a 1/2 cup of almond flour and 3 TBSP of peanut butter into a bowl with your mashed banana.
  • Mix ingredients well with a spoon or spatula. Spoon mixture into your silicone mold. Each mold should be filled all the way to the top.
  • Bake for 20 minutes and allow to cool. Treats should easily pop out of your silicone mold.

Notes

  • Oven times may vary. Check treats at 15 minutes – they should just be starting to brown on the top.
  • Make sure your peanut butter does not contain Xylitol as this can be toxic to dogs. Try to use single-ingredient peanut butter if it is available. Any peanut butter should be okay though as long as Xylitol is not listed in the ingredients.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

  1. First time visitor to your blog and the name alone caught my attention. Hilarious! This recipe looks super easy to make. Happy birthday Yoda! Such a handsome boy!

  2. Happy BIrthday Yoda and your pupcakes look yummy, love the recipe but Layla refuses to eat any pupcake and wish she would so that I could make them for her.

  3. Our pups LOVE their peanut butter banana treats, although we make them using oat flour. One of our dogs has a lot of food allergies, but she can have both peanut butter and bananas – so we make them quite often!
